NYC Climate Week Event

On Sunday, September 28th, Empowerment Collective hosted our first-ever official NYC Climate Week Event: an educational zoom conversation exploring the intersection of modern slavery and the climate crisis.

The panel was moderated by our ally, founder of Physical Intelligence Institute Dr. Claire Dale, and featured two voices from Empowerment Collective's team along with Anyi Hobson, the multi-talented founder of SEAM Advisory, a company that helps organizations define, link and achieve their Environmental and Social commitments.

Our panelists each approached this intersection from a different level, from legislative approaches to ground-level impacts to business/supply chain practices, revealing the deeply systemic environmental and social devastation hidden in the supply chains of products being sold at all price-points. After sharing their expertise, our panelists answered questions from an engaged mix of students, values-aligned professionals, and interested individuals.
